Bandit is a Great Dane who came from a puppy mill situation. He was born with a deformed front leg, growth on his neck, and mange. Bandit has overcome obstacles and because of the strength he has shown, he has helped and continues to help others overcome their own challenges.

He went from a little puppy that no one wanted to a registered therapy dog with Therapy Dog Inc., helping thousands of Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines veterans, and children. On weekends he volunteer at the USO at Ft Leonard Wood, MO bringing companionship and comfort to members of our military, helping young Soldiers, Airmen, Marines and Sailors cope with the stress of being away from home and family, for most of whom are in training and away from home for the first time.

He visits the Fort Leonard Wood Hospital each week. Christmas Day Bandit and his owners helped deliver gifts to children in the hospital and ER waiting room. On Super Bowl Sunday, Bandit visited over 2,000 Soldiers and Marines. "Bandit helps the wounded warriors cope with illness, loss and depression" said SSG Nichols.

Bandit has had so many unit patches donated to him that he is on his second vest. They all want their unit represented on Bandit's vest.

Bandit doesn't know the difference between Generals and Privates, he just wants to bring love and comfort to everyone. Bandit was BORN TO BE A GREATAMERICAN HERO THERAPY DOG!
