The first 7 years of Daisy’s life consisted of living in a filthy cage with very little human interaction. Daisy is a rescued puppy mill survivor. She's lucky to be alive, as many dogs too old to make money in puppy mills are simply killed. Luckily, though, she was sold in a live animal auction, where rescue organizations can buy these unwanted animals and attempt to turn their lives around through foster placement and adoption.

She has been out of puppy mill life for over a year now, and has adjusted so well that she is now able to assist in helping other abused and neglected puppy mill survivors get acclimated to the good life of living in a home by being a foster sister. It's amazing what time, patience, and a lot of love can do for a neglected and abused dog. Because of her happy, energetic demeanor and her devotion to her doting owner, Daisy helps show newly rescued dogs the ropes, so to speak. She helps other rescued dogs understand the fine details of house training, snuggling in bed at night, enjoying a warm lap, and even walking on a leash. Daisy is very patient and tolerant of all other animals, and they are able to bond with her and learn how to trust humans by watching how she responds.

Daisy, pictured on the right, is a fabulous example of how one rescued dog can make the world a better place for others.
