Daisy is my foster dog from the Tacoma Humane Society. I have had her since May 2013 and prior to that she lived at the shelter for about two months and outside at her "home" for almost 2 years. I have owned many breeds of dogs and currently have a nine year old dalmatian who is my best friend but I had never been around a pit bull breed for a long period of time until now. I had no idea what I was in for and I am thankful everyday for having decided to foster a pit mix. Daisy has opened my eyes of what an amazing breed she is and shown me from the beginning that she was a very loyal and loving dog. I did not know how else she was going to change my life though and change it in a big way was exactly what happened. I was a dog owner and lover prior to daisy, I am still all those things but now I am an advocate for all things pit bull and dog. I want to be her voice and I am learning how to for her and for all the other voiceless dogs in this world. Because of Daisy I found my passion for dogs and I thank her for that everyday. Daisy may not be a hero nationally.. yet but she is my hero. Thank yo Daisy for opening my eyes and bringing me so many smiles.
